I really, really love this seed mix as it is so versatile. I sprinkle it on virtually all of our salads, soups, toast with avocado, hummus and it can even be added into a bread dough, the possibilities truly are endless. It not only tastes great but it is full of natural vitamins & minerals (including omega fatty acids) & adds an extra plant based protein boost with the addition of the hemp seeds. Sprinkle to your hearts content!!!!!

Salad Seed Sprinkle

  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup of flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup of white sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup of hemp seeds
  • 2 tblsp. black sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt

In a pan, dry roast each type of seed in separate batches until they are golden. Except the hemp seeds, they are kept in a raw state and added to the cooled mix later. (I roast each type of seed separately because each seed has a varying roasting time). Mix all seeds including the hemp, together in a medium sized bowl and when cool add the sea salt and mix throughly.

I store my seed mix in a glass jar in the cupboard. Now you are ready to add a nutritious boost to anything you create. Enjoy!

I will refer to my salad seed sprinkle recipe a lot in the  future, as I will utilize it regularly to finish off certain dishes I make.
