This pink grapefruit & cardamom prosecco fizz is a sophisticated, aromatic cocktail that will surprise the senses and send your tastebuds on a wonderful adventure. This recipe has been created in collaboration with a gorgeous organic boutique syrup company, Soda Press Co. who fabricate artisanal, low sugar syrups in an array of wonderful flavours. Within this recipe I have utilised a gorgeous pink grapefruit syrup, infused gin with cardamom pods and topped with a splash of prosecco and a sprig of thyme.

Pink Grapefruit & Cardamon Prosecco Fizz

Cardamom Infused Gin:

  • 250 ml of gin
  • 4 cardamom pods, lightly bruised

In a glass jar add the gin and cardamom pods. Cover and leave to infuse for 24 – 48 hours. Then strain the cardamom pods from the gin.

 

Pink Grapefruit & Cardamom Prosecco Fizz:

  • 30ml of cardamom infused gin
  • 20 ml of Soda Press Co. Pink Grapefruit syrup
  • 15ml of fresh pink grapefruit juice
  • 3 sprigs of thyme
  • Prosecco

In a cocktail shaker, add a handful of ice cubes, then the gin, Soda Press Co. Pink Grapefruit syrup, pink grapefruit juice and 2 sprigs of thyme. Shake vigorously until ingredients are well combined and chilled.

In a martini or old fashioned champagne glass, strain and pour the cocktail, then top with prosecco and garnish with a sprig of fresh thyme.
